Give Us This Day Our Daily Loaf
(Fernie, BC) – Here at FBC, we wholeheartedly love beer. So, when reports are released concluding that the product we love to brew, share, talk about and occasionally drink, has in fact healthy benefits, we are pleased as huck.
CTV reported last week, that one to two alcoholic beverages a day actually works in your favour when it comes to good health. Who’d have believed it? Well we do. And so, together with our good friends at Loaf Bakery we have come up with a way of increasing your levels of “good” cholesterol, whilst simultaneously giving you a grand old dose of fiber.
Ladies and Gentlemen, we present to you FBC Bread. Loaf describes this new local partnership as a “match made in heaven” and we couldn’t agree more. Last weekend Phil and his head baker Arek, unveiled a well-tested sourdough with whole roasted chocolate malt and Fernie First Trax Brown Ale, as well as a scrumptious 100% whole wheat, made with spent grain from the First Trax brewing process, poppy seeds and honey. They can’t decide which their favourite is and neither can we.
Would you like to join the great loaf debate? Then get on down to Loaf Bakery on the weekend to bag one of these specialty loaves and decide for yourself.
This new partnership with a fellow award winning and ever-growing local business comes off the back of our partnership that we formed in December 2010, with Island Lake Lodge, a popular Catskiing operation based just outside of Fernie.
Skiing, Beer & Bread. A winning combination if ever there was.
