After a lengthy wait, summer is finally here and to celebrate, we’re launching our long-awaited addition to our seasonal line up, Base Camp West Coast Pale Ale.

A bold, hop forward Pale Ale, boasting a delicious tropical aroma, this on-trend brew is a style of beer which our Head Brewer, Jeff Demaniuk, was eager to brew upon his arrival to Fernie Brewing Co. back in the fall of 2016. Six months on and it’s come to fruition, with a timely summer arrival.

As summer is now a distant memory, and the trails are more muddy with a dusting of snow, than the preferred tacky riding conditions, the 2016 Trail to Ale Challenge is officially closed for the season!

In its inaugural year, we saw near on 150 bikers, hikers and runners complete the ~50km challenge, taking them to some of Fernie's favourite and challenging peaks - Hyperventilation, P9 and Swine Flu - in a 24hr period.

(Fernie, BC)Fernie Brewing Co. (FBC) is undoubtedly recognized locally, as a family owned and operated business.

Now in its 21st year, Okanagan Fest of Ale, in Penticton is one of the best Craft Beer Festivals on BC’s calendar. Promising a great selection of beers, ciders, bands and food, this two-day festival marks the start of spring. And is the perfect way to launch our new beers, bring back summer seasonals and check in with our brewing comrades.

(Vancouver, BC) - Saturday May 30th, Fernie Brewing Co. attended the new Vancouver International Craft Beer Awards, hoping for success from their two shortlisted beers. Big Caboose Red Ale and Project 9 Pils.

There’s been a whole lot of local buzz surrounding Fernie’s upcoming new seasonal release, following the success and popularity of our recent Project 9 Pilsner, which launched earlier this year, aptly named after one of Fernie’s most popular bike trails.

So keeping with our small-town, bike-paradise roots, Fernie Brewing Co.’s upcoming new brew is named Kickstand Honey Kolsch. Less climbing, more cruising, but equally as refreshing and seasonally appropriate.
